I became a natural curly hair girl in 2009 and never looked back (though at times I wanted to). I enjoy the versatility and powerful feeling that natural hair brings into my life. At first I wanted to grow my natural curly hair to waist length but that changed to just wanting very healthy natural hair at whatever length. Which brought me to creating this blog where I can post about the ups and downs and in betweens of my natural curly hair life.
Yoga is super awesome! It totally centers me and brings me to a place of solitude. I am no expert and I do not take yoga classes consistently but when I do take class, I always take away the fact that I am here now, in this moment, where there is no need to worry; just being in the moment and do the best I can and from there, grow and grow and grow. And ballet! My oh my how I love ballet. The art form is tremendously intense yet looks extremely soft and graceful and though I am by no means a ballerina I do enjoy acting like one and in this blog you will also get to experience my #yogaballerina thoughts feelings and movements.
I am a mother of 3 children; 2 girls and a boy. I really love being a mother, though at times I wouldn’t mind taking a break from motherhood. My adorable kids love NOT listening to me, they believe that making as much noise as possible is the only way to live, and they would rather ask me for everything instead of their father whom of which is sitting in the same living room/kitchen/etc. as myself yet seems to be overlooked when it comes time for the “asking for” session of the day (ALL DAY). I believe my kids think I can do anything, and though I find that inspiring, it’s actually not…I’m tired dammit!! LMAO
