Well God has graced me with yet another seed in my belly and I couldn’t be more grateful. Though when I first found out I was pregnant for the third time, I wasn’t shocked, just concerned about maintaining the physically fit body that I worked so hard on after having my second child. For me, when I’m pregnant, I tend to allow nature take its course, to an extent….I exercise here and there and don’t get upset when I see weight gain. But now since I have reached my desired size and weight I am more reluctant to allow nature take its course and to allow “mommy” to take its course, meaning I am going to continue working out like I was before I got pregnant.
I have been an athlete ever since I could remember. I love to workout! It makes me feel confident and secure with myself and also gives me that boost of energy that gets me through the day. So blessing for me, because I have always been fit, I don’t have to “take it easy” on my body while pregnant. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not going to go and start doing some obscene exercises to prevent extra weight but I will continue to do exactly what I have been and feel no fear while doing so. My midwife gave me the thumbs up to do so, so it’s on.
My trust is in God. I listen to Him and know that if there was anything “wrong” that I was doing to myself/baby then He would let me know. So now I sweat, press on, and squat my way to a perfectly fit pregnancy.
